Driver Sought in Pedestrian Hit and Run Fatal Crash 
On the evening of February 17, 2024, a pedestrian lost their life in a hit and run crash just after 9:00 PM. The incident occurred in the westbound lane of U.S. Route 30, near the Executive Lodge motel, just east of Turner Avenue.
The driver failed to stop and fled the scene, leaving the victim without aid.
Authorities are actively seeking the public's assistance in this investigation. Investigators are looking for a vehicle with heavy front-end damage, consistent with the impact with the pedestrian.
