1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (0400) 1300 Block of East Washington St, Park District
The male victim, 37, observed two suspects stealing items from his truck and intervened. As the suspects fled, one suspect fired one shot at the victim, but the victim was not hit. SUSPECT: Two adult males.
2. Weapon Arrest (0855) Liotard Drive and Breiens Way, Bear Creek District
Officers checked out a suspicious vehicle and contacted the driver. Officers saw a firearm in the vehicle and took the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Manuel Robles, 27, for weapon charges.
3 Weapon Arrest (0915) 300 Block of South Commerce Street, Civic District
Officers responded to a report of a family disturbance and contacted the suspect. Officers learned that the suspect had a concealed firearm on his person but was prohibited from possessing one and took him into custody. ARRESTED: Alexander Smith, 25, for weapon charges.
4. Robbery Arrest (1211) Pershing Avenue and Acacia Street, Civic District
The male victim, 31, argued with the suspect, who was holding a stick. The suspect took the victim's property and fled the area. Responding officers located the suspect and commanded the suspect to surrender, but he refused. Officers took him to the ground and into custody. ARRESTED: Tino Scott, 33, for robbery and resisting arrest.
