Chevron CWS Level 1 Notification - Flaring - 2/20/2024 
At 2:15am today, 2/20/2024, Chevron issued a CWS Level 1 Notification due to visible flaring at the Richmond refinery. Richmond Fire Dept. has confirmed with Chevron that flaring is no longer occurring at the site.
Based on Contra Costa Health's 3-tier hazmat severity system, CWS Level 1 notifications have no public health impacts and require no action from the community.
