On Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 2:25 a.m., Santa Clara Police Department (SCPD) officers responded to a residence in the 3700 block of Poinciana Dr. after receiving the report of a shooting.
After they arrived on scene, SCPD officers detained a male suspect near the residence. They also discovered a shooting victim in the residence that was deceased. The suspect is in police custody at this time. There is no threat to public safety. This remains an open and active investigation. More information will be provided when it becomes available.
