Crime Alert Bulletin Covering the Week of February 5-11, 2024

When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.  
  
 
Robberies
 
There were no robberies during the past week.
 
 
Residential Burglaries
 
There were no residential burglaries during the past week.
 
 
Commercial Burglaries
 
There were two commercial burglaries during the past week.
 
On Wednesday, 02-07-24, between 10:15 p.m. and 11:45 p.m., a suspect entered Planet Fitness on Junipero Serra Boulevard and broke into a locker. The suspect took a gym bag containing a towel, protein bars, a fanny pack, $20, a CA driver’s license, keys, and a credit card. The suspect used the credit card at a gas station. In addition, the victim noticed her vehicle in the parking lot appeared to be tampered with. This investigation is continuing.
 
On Sunday, 02-11-24, at approximately 5:32 p.m., Benjamin Moore, located on the 6200 block of Mission Street, was burglarized. The suspect forced entry through the front door, took approximately $2,600 worth of tools, and fled northbound on Mission Street. The suspect was described as a male wearing a gray hoodie and black ski mask.
 
 
Vehicle Burglaries   
 
There were five vehicle burglaries during the past week.
 

  • Unit block of Coronado Avenue—construction tools were taken from a 2014 Toyota Tundra. The passenger side window was broken. Occurred between 11:00 p.m. on 02-05-24 and 3:00 a.m. on 02-06-24. **Online report.
 
  • 100 block of Winchester Street—a backpack containing books and Beats earbuds was taken from a 2020 Subaru Forester. Unknown method of entry. Occurred between 11:00 p.m. on 02-05-24 and 7:00 a.m. on 02-06-24. **Online report.
 
  • Unit block of Southgate Avenue—a Gucci wallet, replica BB gun, $2,500, foreign currency, credit cards, medical cards, CA driver’s license, and Oakley sunglasses were taken from a 2021 Cadillac Escalade. The sunroof glass was smashed. Occurred between 5:00 p.m. on 02-07-24 and 7:10 a.m. on 02-08-24.
 
  • Parking lot of Serramonte Shopping Center near Dick’s Sporting Goods—a black suitcase and trash bag containing clothes were taken from a 2024 Toyota Sienna. The rear windshield, rear passenger side window, and front passenger window were smashed. Occurred on 02-08-24 at approximately 4:40 p.m.
 
  • Callan Boulevard and Clarinada Avenue—equipment was taken from a Toyota Prius. Unknown method of entry. Occurred on 02-10-24 at approximately 11:27 a.m.
 
 
Stolen Vehicles  
 
There were five stolen vehicles during the past week. Two vehicles were recovered.
 
  • 800 block of King Drive—a 2012 Infiniti. Occurred on 02-08-24 between 6:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.
 
  • Unit block of Poncetta Drive—a 2018 Kia Rio. Occurred between 5:00 p.m. on 02-08-24 and 10:30 a.m. on 02-09-24. **Recovered by San Bruno PD on 02-13-24.
 
  • Belcrest Avenue and Longview Drive—a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. Occurred on 02-10-24 between 2:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
 
  • 100 block of Crestwood Drive—a 2022 Vespa Primavera. Occurred on 02-10-24 at approximately 7:30 a.m. **Recovered by DCPD on 02-10-24.
 
  • Edgeworth Avenue and Pierce Street—a 1997 Nissan 240SX. Occurred between 10:30 p.m. on 02-11-24 and 8:00 a.m. on 02-12-24.
 
 
Miscellaneous
 
  • There were 136 cases taken.
 
  • There were 18 domestic disturbance cases reported.
 
  • There was 1 case involving an involuntary psychiatric hold.
 
  • There were 11 malicious mischief/vandalism cases reported.
 
  • There were 2 cases for public intoxication.
 
  • There was 1 hit-and-run collision reported.
 
  • There were 7 narcotics-related cases taken.

Sandbags are available, while supplies last, to Daly City residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the parking lot of the Department of Water & Wastewater Resources (153 Lake Merced Boulevard) and the Department of Public Works Corporation Yard entrance (798 Niantic Avenue).
