* WHAT...Flash flooding and landslides caused by heavy rain showers.
* WHEN...Until 900 AM PST
* IMPACTS...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Landslides expected.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 223 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated moderate to heavy rain showers overspreading the area. Flash flooding and landslides are ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding and landslides are imminent or occurring. Residents should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
