On Tuesday 2/20/24, Officers were dispatched to a vehicle vs pedestrian hit and run in the 3600 block of East IH40 south frontage road. Officers located a female that had been struck by a vehicle. The unidentified female was transported to an area hospital where she died as result of the injuries she sustained in the crash. The suspect driving the vehicle later turned herself in at the Amarillo Police Department. The suspect was identified as Lisa Bartsch Lahr, 34 y/o female. Ms. Bartsch Lahr was interviewed and later booked into the Potter County Detention Center for Accident-causing injury or death. The victim has not been identified. Judge Jackson was notified and responded. Judge Jackson ordered an autopsy. The Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Dept is investigating the incident.
