Wilmington Police have arrested a male juvenile and recovered a stolen motor vehicle.
On February 12, at approximately 2:30 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 1100 block of West 3rd Street, when they observed a stolen motor vehicle. Officers attempted to conduct a vehicle stop, at which time the vehicle fled the area. The vehicle was subsequently located in the 1200 block of West 11th Street, where the driver fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, a 17-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody without incident.
The 17-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500
- Disregarding a Police Officer’s Signal
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
