Alameda County – State Route 84 (SR-84) will remain closed between Old Canyon Rd. and Main Street in Sunol in both directions until Friday, Feb. 23.
The road was closed Monday when the ground underneath deteriorated, which caused a portion of the highway to collapse early Monday morning.
To ensure the safety of motorists, State Route 84 will be closed until Friday, Feb. 23, because another storm system is set to impact the region and could bring flooding concerns.
On Friday, Feb. 23, Caltrans crews will assess the highway to determine if it safe to re-open to one-way traffic control.
