INCIDENT: P.C. 496(A)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, V.C. 2800.2(A)- Evading Police, P.C. 1203.2(A)(1)- Probation Violation, H&S 11379(A)- Possession of a Controlled Substance
LOCATION: Quarry Road and Victorville Quarry Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Michael Grayson, 41-year-old Resident of Barstow
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at approximately 9:06 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Station located a black, 2016 BMW 428 that was reported stolen out of Barstow.
The stolen 2016 BMW was located at the intersection of Mojave Drive and Village Drive. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle failed to yield for law enforcement and a pursuit ensued. The driver of the vehicle, who was later identified as Michael Grayson, led deputies on a pursuit disregarding public safety multiple times. During the pursuit Grayson reached speeds of over 130 miles per hour, failed to stop at red lights and stop signs, and drove recklessly swerving in front of vehicles. After several miles, Grayson’s vehicle became disabled at Victorville Quarry Road and Quarry Road. Deputies took Grayson into custody without further incident.
Grayson was taken into custody and booked at High Desert Detention Center for P.C. 496(A)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, V.C. 2800.2(A)- Evading Police, P.C. 1203.2(A)(1)- Probation Violation, H&S 11379(A)- Possession of a Controlled Substance.
