Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male Hispanic adult.
Deputies from the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station responded to 119th Street and Vermont Avenue, in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles, regarding a gunshot victim call for service.
The incident occurred on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at approximately 5:25 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they learned the victim had suffered from an apparent gunshot wound to his torso. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently there is no additional information.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to the intersection of 119th Street and Vermont Avenue, in the city of Los Angeles regarding a death investigation. The incident occurred on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 5:25 p.m.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.
