Traditional fossil-fuel based thermal energy systems generate about one-third of New York’s energy-related greenhouse gas emissions. Transitioning to more efficient heating and cooling systems eliminate harmful emissions, reduce energy costs, increase comfort levels, and creates a healthier environment in your community.
The most common solution is the air-sourced heat pump or “mini-split,” which pulls heat from the outside air—even at sub-zero temperatures—to warm your home in winter and cool it in summer.
Participating in this program helps Delhi and Delaware County become a clean energy community and earn grant money and recognition for climate leadership while building community-wide resiliency and economic opportunity.
