Golden State Water will begin road work for their Bradford Ave. Water Transmission Main Project starting today. This project includes installing 1,450 linear feet of 12-inch-diameter water transmission main along Bradford Avenue (Crowther Ave to Chapman Ave). Golden State Water will install 2,000 linear feet of 8-inch-diameter water distribution main at the alley west of S. Bradford Ave (Golden State Water’s Chapman Water Plant to Aguirre Ln), Aguirre Ln (alley to S. Bradford Ave), and S. Bradford Ave, replace existing water valves, install fire hydrants, and other water system components. This project will ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers and is estimated to be completed in October 2024. The streets will remain open to traffic during the construction period, and traffic controls will be in place during construction hours. The work will generally occur on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Traffic and parking may be restricted using traffic control, and access to driveways may be limited for short durations. Weekly activities such as trash pick-up will not be interrupted. Please expect an increased level of noise during the construction period.
