Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help identifying the below-pictured suspect in connection with an armed business robbery that occurred on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
At approximately 10 p.m., a male suspect approached a business owner in the 1100 block of South Orange Avenue. The suspect robbed the victim at gunpoint, taking approximately $4,500.00 from him before fleeing on foot, headed southbound on Dover Street.
The suspect is described as 5’9” tall with a thin build and a light complexion. He was wearing a dark blue jacket, black sweatpants, sneakers, a ski mask, and gray gloves.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
