LOCATION: 17900 Block of Vista Point Drive, Unincorporated Victorville (Spring Valley Lake)
SUSPECT(S): Luis Fernando Urgiles, 45-year-old Resident of Unincorporated Victorville (Spring Valley Lake)
VICTIM(S): Claudia Carmen Urgiles, 40- year-old Resident of Unincorporated Victorville (Spring Valley Lake)
SUMMARY: On February 22, 2024, the family of Claudia Urgiles contacted Sheriff’s Dispatch to report Claudia missing. They reported she was not answering her phone or returning calls, and they were concerned for her welfare. Deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded and took a missing person report. On February 24, 2024, deputies served a search warrant at the home Claudia shared with her husband, Luis Urgiles, in Spring Valley Lake. Upon entering the home, deputies located Claudia and Luis deceased inside the home with apparent gunshot wounds.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, responded and assumed the investigation. Through investigation, it appears Luis murdered Claudia and then killed himself. The investigation is continuing, and no further information is available.
