INCIDENT: P.C. 496D(A)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, P.C. 30305(A)(1)- Felon Prohibited from Owning/Possessing Ammunition or Firearms
LOCATION: 9200 Block of Avalon Road, Pinion Hills
SUSPECT(S): Jason A Waters, 42-year-old Resident of Pinion Hills
SUMMARY: On Thursday, February 22, 2024, deputies assigned to Victorville Police Station's Multiple Enforcement Team, along with investigators with Sheriff's Specialized Enforcement Division, SanCATT, and the Victor Valley Sheriff's Station, conducted an investigation on a suspect with a felony warrant, theft of several firearms and automotive theft.
Deputies contacted suspect Jason Waters at the 9200 block of Avalon Road in Pinion Hills. Waters was the sole occupant in a white Ford F-250 and was detained. Located inside the truck were several high-capacity magazines that were loaded, and a clear plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of 28 firearms which included rifles, shotguns, handguns, and revolvers. In addition, approximately 2,000 rounds of miscellaneous ammunition were recovered and a stolen off highway vehicle was found on the property.
Waters was transported and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for P.C. 496D(A)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, P.C. 30305(A)(1)- Felon Prohibited from Owning/Possessing Ammunition or Firearms
