* WHAT...Dangerous avalanche conditions are developing. Expect the Avalanche Danger to rise to HIGH (Level 4 of 5) on Monday night through Wednesday morning.
* WHERE...Gore Range, Ten Mile Range, Sawatch Range, Elk Mountains, Ruby Range, Ragged Range, La Plata Mountains and From Wolf Creek Pass to Cumbres Pass.
* WHEN...Expect dangerous avalanche conditions to begin on Monday evening after 4:30 PM and last through Wednesday morning at 6:00 AM.
* IMPACTS...Heavy snow and strong winds will create dangerous avalanche conditions by Tuesday morning. Large and dangerous avalanches will be easy to trigger and will run wide and far. Avalanches will run naturally.
*PRECAUTION/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Travel in backcountry avalanche terrain is not recommended. Avoid travel on and under slopes steeper than about 30 degrees. You can find more detailed information at colorado.gov/avalanche
