A Red Flag Warning is effective for Lee's Summit from 11 am to 6 pm. A Red Flag Warning means critical fire weather conditions are  occurring or will shortly. Strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. All Open and Recreational Burning Permits in the City of Lee's Summit are suspended for the day. Avoid using anything with a flame or anything that can produce a spark near dry vegetation, and discard smoking materials into approved containers.
