Winter Weather Advisory until 03:00PM Tuesday

...HEAVY SNOW TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT... .A front on Tuesday will bring a band of heavier snow across the SE Outer Coast and Southern Panhandle. Heaviest snowfall may be from Annette Island across Prince of Wales Island to Baranof Island and up to Pelican. Snow has started out dry and fluffy, but may become wetter across the extreme south and outer coast as temperatures reach near or just above freezing by Tuesday afternoon. Snow is expected to gradually diminish late Tuesday night with snow showers lasting through Wednesday.

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations around two one inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Blowing snow.

* WHERE...City and Borough of Yakutat.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM AKST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Areas of blowing snow could reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A report of around 6 to 8 inches of dry fluffy snow was received around 8:15 am and still snowing. Snow should diminish sometime around midday to mid afternoon. Some blowing and drifting snow also likely.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CITY AND BOROUGH OF YAKUTAT
