LOCATION: 30800 Block of Amber Road, Lucerne Valley
SUSPECT: Jamie Bytheway, 56 years-old, resident of Mill Valley
VICTIM: 79- year-old Female, Resident of Lucerne Valley
SUMMARY: On Monday, February 26, 2024, at 7:21 p.m., deputies responded to a 911 call in the 30800 block of Amber Road in Lucerne Valley.
When deputies arrived, they learned the 79-year-old victim’s daughter, Jamie Bytheway, was visiting when an argument ensued. The victim was scared for her safety and locked Bytheway out of the house. Bytheway shattered the kitchen window of the residence, and texted the victim telling her she was going to burn the house down. The victim called 911 and hid inside her house.
Bytheway refused to get in the back seat of the sheriff’s vehicle. While assisting Bytheway into the back seat, she kicked one of the arresting officers in the shoulder. Jamie Bytheway was arrested for elderly abuse, vandalism, and obstructing a peace officer.
