* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches possible across northern Elko county; one to two feet possible across the Ruby Mountains and East Humboldt Range. Locally higher amounts possible. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Elko County and Ruby Mountains and East Humboldt Range.

* WHEN...From late Thursday night through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
