Wilmington Police have arrested two men on drug charges.
On February 20, at approximately 1:56 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 1000 block of North Pine Street, when they observed two males engaged in drug-related activity. Officers made contact with 22-year-old Marshaun Backus and 22-year-old Marshawn Backus, who were taken into custody without incident. Police recovered 207.8 grams of marijuana, $525, and drug paraphernalia.
Marshaun Backus has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $13,000 cash-only bail.
Marshawn Backus has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $13,000 cash-only bail.
