Winter Weather Advisory until 12:00AM Saturday

* WHAT...Blowing snow expected and periods of light ice accumulations possible. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting up to 40 mph. Visibility down to one half mile or less at times.

* WHERE...Pribilof Islands.

* WHEN...From 9PM Thursday to Midnight AKST Friday night.

* IMPACTS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility at times. Trace ice accumulation from freezing rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Surge of precipitation to initially start as snowfall, where accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible. This will be followed by gale-force southeasterly winds which is expected to loft loose snow and reduce visibility. Additionally, the snow is expected to transition to a mix including freezing rain. This is expected to accumulate at least a trace of ice at the surface during this period. Precipitation will then transition to plain rain by late Friday. Winds and rain to continue Friday night.
