Stanislaus Special Investigations Unit Wraps Up Months-Long InvestigationĀ

Detectives with the Stanislaus Special Investigations Unit (SIU) wrapped up a months-long criminal investigation culminating in the execution of twelve simultaneous search warrants.
On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, with the assistance of other local enforcement agencies in various counties, SIU and SWAT team members furthered their ongoing investigation into outlaw motorcycle gang activity.
The case stemmed from earlier acts of violence which took place last year. The case involved a dispute amongst dozens of rival Hells Angels, Salida Nomad’s, as well as Mongol street gang members.
Detectives with SIU conducted follow-up investigation for several months and identified suspects, locations, and accessories believed to be involved with the 2023 acts of violence.
With the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as several neighboring local enforcement agencies out of San Joaquin and Tuolumne counties, search warrants were obtained and served targeting dangerous outlaw motorcycle gang members. Twelve tactical teams were involved in this operation.
The results of those warrants included arrests, approximately 50 firearms, gun silencers, gang indicia, narcotics/controlled substances, bomb making explosive materials, and ammunition retrieval & seizure.
Some of the more noteworthy arrests include the following: 1) Vincent Ball, 62, Modesto resident, 2) Anthony Vincent Soria, 37, Modesto, and 3) Alfeiri Mishell Taneiya, 26, Modesto, and 4) Emilio Diaz Martinez, 35, Modesto.
Charges included, but were not limited to, felon in possession of a firearm & ammunition, steroid possession, possession of an assault weapon, possession of a silencer, manufacturing & selling metal knuckles, possession of narcotics along with a loaded firearm.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office wishes to thank the following allied agencies who participated in the Feb. 28th joint operation: Tuolumne Co. Sheriff’s Office, FBI field offices out of San Francisco and Sacramento, Modesto Police, Ceres Police, California Highway Patrol, Turlock Police, Stockton Police, Manteca Police and the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation remains an active and ongoing one. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
