Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the suspect pictured below, who stole a victim’s wallet from his vehicle on February 21, 2024.
Police responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 11:56 a.m. at William and Halsey streets. The victim parked his car at that intersection and when he returned, the passenger side front window was damaged, and a brick was on the front seat.
On surveillance video, the suspect entered the vehicle and took the victim’s wallet. The suspect is described as a male with a brown complexion and thin build. He was wearing a black jacket, black face mask, black hooded shirt, black pants, black boots, and a multi-color frizzy style hat.
