* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory for elevations above 2000 feet, wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches on high passes. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph on high ridges. For the Winter Storm Warning for elevations above 1500 feet, heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 8 and 15 inches on high passes. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph on high ridges.
* WHERE...Southwestern Humboldt.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 10 PM PST Friday. For the Winter Storm Warning, from 10 PM Friday to 4 AM PST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be very difficult. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous.
* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTHWESTERN HUMBOLDT
