SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
ANNOUNCES THE ADDITION OF 2 DEPUTIES IN TWIN PEAKS IN THE 3RD SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT

SAN BERNARDINO, CA – The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Shannon Dicus, and Chair of the Board of Supervisors, Dawn Rowe, proudly announce the addition of two deputies to fortify public safety within the 3rd Supervisorial District, which includes the San Bernardino Mountain Communities, High Desert Regions, and portions of the Valley communities.

These additional deputy positions come as a collaborative effort between the Sheriff’s Department and the leadership of the Board of Supervisors. Recognizing the need to enhance law enforcement presence and community engagement, the deployment of these additional deputies signifies a proactive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and small businesses within the 3rd Supervisorial District and mountain residents.

“I am pleased to announce the addition of two deputies to bolster public safety efforts within the mountain communities. These new positions reflect the Board’s commitment to proactive crime prevention. By placing these deputies and Sheriff Dicus’ assistance, we aim to enhance the safety and well-being of residents and businesses in the mountain communities,” said Chair of the Board of Supervisors and 3rd District Supervisor Dawn Rowe.

These two additional deputies will be strategically placed across the district, focusing on areas identified as priority zones for crime prevention and proactive policing efforts. Their duties will include community patrols, response to emergency calls, and proactive crime prevention.

These deputies will start on May 4, 2024, and are funded by the 2023-2024 adopted budget by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is the law enforcement agency for the largest geographical county in the nation. Sheriff Shannon Dicus currently serves as San Bernardino County’s 36th Sheriff-Coroner. The department serves over 2.1 million residents, with eight county and 14 contract patrol stations and over 4,200 employees to ensure the quality and safety of those we serve.
