Janesville Police Department involved in officer-involved shooting. 
Our thoughts are with our officers and those within our community who are impacted by an officer-involved shooting that occurred around 10:00 PM on Friday, March 1, 2024. There are no threats to the public, and no officers were injured during the incident. We requested the assistance of the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) in investigating the officer-involved shooting. We are cooperating fully with their investigation. DCI will be the sole source of information released on this incident.
Additional information will be released upon the conclusion of DCI’s investigation and a review done by the Rock County District Attorney’s Office.
