Water main break at 301 Riley Road. Avoid area. Repairs in progress. 
In the early morning of Saturday, March 2, 2024, East Chicago Water Department staff were dispatched to investigate a leak within the areas of 301 Riley Road, East Chicago, IN. It was identified that a 14" water main line was compromised and leaking, causing flooding throughout the roadways and surrounding areas. HASSE Construction was dispatched immediately to commence emergency repairs to the compromised line. Water Department staff also isolated affected areas to control leak and allow crews to commence the emergency repairs. The repairs will be completed as soon as possible. As a result, the roadways within the affected areas may be obstructed not allowing vehicular traffic access.
