The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 6 PM CST this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 011, 012, 024, 026, 037, 038, 039, 040, 054, 055, 056, 058, and 059.
* WIND...Southwest, shifting to the west 15 to 25 mph gusting 30 to 40 mph.
* HUMIDITY...11 to 16 percent in the afternoon.
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* AFFECTED AREAS: NEMAHA ... BROWN ... JACKSON ... JEFFERSON ... MORRIS ... WABAUNSEE ... SHAWNEE ... DOUGLAS ... LYON ... OSAGE ... FRANKLIN ... COFFEY ... ANDERSON
