Winter Weather Advisory until 12:00PM Tuesday

...WINTRY WEATHER FOR THE PANHANDLE... .Northerly outflow winds will generate 15-25 mph sustained wind speeds and higher gusts for the Klondike Highway. These winds combined with temperatures as low as 9 below zero will cause wind chills to 40 below zero. .A passing front will give the NE gulf coast, including Yakutat, snow beginning Monday evening. Heaviest snow is likely Monday night. As temperatures warm, rain is expected to mix in Tuesday morning with a rain/snow mix lasting through the rest of the day.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches.

* WHERE...City and Borough of Yakutat.

* WHEN...From 9 PM Monday to noon AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will start out light before picking up during the overnight hours. The heaviest snow will be during the overnight and early morning hours before snowfall rates start to diminish. Snow will start to mix with rain towards the mid morning to afternoon on Tuesday.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CITY AND BOROUGH OF YAKUTAT
