March 1, 2024:
- Officer Simon assisted JFD with a structure fire in the 300 block of Taylor Street.
- Officers visited multiple schools to read to students for National Reading Month.
- Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of West North Street for a suspicious subject. A 34-year-old male was arrested for resisting and obstructing.
- Officer Bean and Officer Simon conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Cooper Street. A 37-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Detective Sergeant Mosier and Officer Stallworth made contact with a subject near West Mason Street and South Blackstone Street. The 40-year-old male subject was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants.
- Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop at North Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Detroit Street. The 30-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
- Detective Sergeant Mosier and Officer Stallworth conducted a traffic stop in the area of Steward Avenue and Wildwood Avenue. The 36-year-old male driver was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute in the 400 block of Blair Park Drive. A 47-year-old male was arrested for domestic assault.
- Officer Morse conducted a traffic stop at East Trail Street and Oak Street. The 31-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
- Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Jackson Street for a domestic dispute. A 19-year-old male was arrested for domestic assault.
- Officers made contact with subjects in the 100 block of East Washington Avenue. A 33-year-old male was arrested for conditional bond violation.
- Officer Morse conducted a traffic stop at South Mechanic Street and East Mason Street. The 34-year-old male driver was arrested for furnishing false information to a police officer; driving while visibly impaired; and driving with a suspended license.
- Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop near East Louis Glick Highway and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The 33-year-old male driver was arrested for conditional bond violation.
- Officer Simon responded to the 1600 block of Third Street for a domestic dispute. A 30-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Bean was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Wisner Street for a subject shoplifting. A 24-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Elston responded to the 300 block of Van Buren Street for a domestic assault report. The 20-year-old male suspect left prior to officers’ arrival, and has not been located.
- Officer Morse was dispatched to the 800 block of West Michigan Avenue for subjects trying to get into parked vehicles in the area. A 14-year-old male and a 10-year-old male were turned over to their parents.
- Sergeant Kruso responded to the 1200 block of Laurel Lane for a civil standby. A 17-year-old male was lodged at JCYC on an outstanding juvenile warrant.
- Sergeant Kruso made contact with a subject at Cooper Street and Morrell Street. The 19-year-old male subject was arrested for furnishing false information to a police officer, and conditional bond violation.
- Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop near Cooper Street and East Washington Avenue. The 29-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
