Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Theft Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the below-pictured suspect, who stole a package from the front porch of a residence on March 2, 2024
Police responded to the theft incident, which was captured on surveillance video at approximately 6:19 a.m. in the 100 block of Ivy Street. The suspect, who fled eastbound on Ivy Street, is described as a Black male with a beard and mustache. He was wearing a red jacket with black sleeves, and dark blue ripped jeans.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
