Flood Advisory until 02:15AM Tuesday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Louisiana, including the following parishes, Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John The Baptist and Terrebonne.

* WHEN...Until 215 AM CST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1120 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Orleans, Houma, Thibodaux, Hahnville, Laplace, Avondale, Metairie, Marrero, Harvey, Timberlane, Belle Chasse, Chalmette, East New Orleans, Jefferson, Gretna, Harahan, Westwego, Lockport, Raceland and Mathews. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
