Narrative:
Camarillo, California. – On March 1, 2024, two people were arrested for various charges, including warrants and DUI related license suspensions at a Driver’s License/ DUI Checkpoint.
 
The DUI checkpoint was held on Arneill Road north of Ponderosa Drive from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
 
Four drivers were cited for operating a vehicle while unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license.  A total of 176 vehicles were contacted.
 
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
 
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
