OPD News:
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) has arrested a juvenile in connection with the homicide of Maged Alazzani, which occurred on January 6, 2024, in the 2900 block of Linden Street.
Thanks to the tireless and collaborative efforts of OPD’s Homicide Section, Robbery Unit, and Patrol, the juvenile was safely taken into custody on February 27, 2024.
The Alameda County District Attorney's Office has filed charges against the juvenile for their involvement in the crime.
Background:
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred on January 6, 2024, just before 8:15 PM, in the 2900 block of Linden Street. OPD Communications Division received a call advising of an individual who had just been shot. Officers responded to the area to investigate the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting and learned the victim (male, adult) self-transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
