...ACCUMULATING SNOW FOR THE PANHANDLE... .A frontal band which will impact the panhandle beginning Tuesday night and continue through Wednesday will bring accumulating snow. Snow amounts will be determined by how strong and quickly the front will brings winds down to the surface. As the biggest uncertainty is with changeover, advised areas could see higher snow totals than advertised.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches.
* WHERE...Municipality of Skagway and Haines Borough and Klukwan.
* WHEN...From 3 AM Wednesday to 3 AM AKST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light and dry snow will become increasingly wet over the course of the day.
