Arrested: Charged following foot pursuit with Hardeeville Police 
On March 5, 2024, Officers and Detectives with the Hardeeville Police Department and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office VICE Unit acted on a local tip about a known suspect wanted for sex trafficking out of Georgia. Officers subsequently conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle transporting the suspect who fled on foot and was apprehended. During that time, a missing female juvenile from Beaufort County, who was aquainted with the suspect was located. Upon further investigation, the suspect Jaquan Duvall Barnes of Port Royal, South Carolina was charged with the below associated charges. Charges: Fugitive from Justice, Obstruction, Sex Trafficking of a Minor **All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty**
