This is an emergency notification from the Lubbock Police Department regarding a(n) Road Closed. The incident details at this time are: The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit will be conducting a follow-up mapping operation on Wednesday, March 6 beginning at 9:00 a.m. This mapping operation comes after a Friday evening collision that left 31-year-old Sarah Hill dead. This follow-up investigation will be conducted in the east bound lanes of the 5700 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway. The operation is expected to last about 90 minutes. During this operation the east bound lanes of Marsha Sharp Freeway will be closed. The on-ramp from Milwaukee Avenue will also be closed. All east bound traffic of Marsha Sharp Freeway will be diverted off of the main lanes onto the access road at the West Loop 289 off ramp. The LPD needs the public to avoid the area.
