Red Flag Warning until 06:00PM Wednesday

...RED FLAG WARNING THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR SOUTHWESTERN MINNESOTA... Winds today will be out of the south at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph. Winds combined with relative humidity values as low as 20 to 25 percent will result in critical fire weather conditions this afternoon. Any fires that form will have the potential to spread quickly. The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Areas of west central Minnesota along and west of a line from Glenwood to Granite Falls.

* WIND...Southerly winds sustained at 25 to 30 mph and gusting to 40 mph

* HUMIDITY...Relative humidities falling to around 25%.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* AFFECTED AREAS: KANDIYOHI ... RENVILLE ... MCLEOD ... SIBLEY ... REDWOOD ... BROWN ... NICOLLET ... LE SUEUR ... WATONWAN ... BLUE EARTH ... MARTIN
