INCIDENT: Minor Injury Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Foothill Boulevard / Red Hill Country Club Drive
INVOLVED PARTY # 1: Zhane Mahabir, 29-year-old female from Upland and a 4-year-old female passenger
INVOLVED PARTY # 2: Raed Canjo, 22-year-old male from Upland
SUMMARY: On March 5, 2024, at 9:26 pm, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Red Hill Country Club Drive in Rancho Cucamonga.
Based on the investigation, Mahabir drove her vehicle south on Red Hill Country Club Drive and crossed Foothill Boulevard. Canjo drove his vehicle east on Foothill Boulevard, and collided with Mahabir. After the initial collision, Canjo's vehicle continued in a southeast direction and collided into the west wall of El Tarasco Meat Market. Canjo was momentarily trapped in his vehicle when it became embedded in the building. All involved parties were transported to local area hospitals for complaints of pain and minor injuries. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
