Flood Warning until 07:00PM Monday

...The National Weather Service in Peachtree City GA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Georgia... Flint River at US 19 near Carsonville affecting Taylor, Talbot, Crawford and Upson Counties. Flint River below Big Branch near Molena affecting Meriwether and Pike Counties.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Flint River below Big Branch near Molena.

* WHEN...From late Saturday night to Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 28 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding of the natural flood plain near the gage location begins. Flooding continues to expand into the agricultural and wooded areas downstream from the gage near the Georgia Highway 74 bridge. Elevated homes in this location will see a foot or two of water underneath them.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 PM EST Thursday the stage was 15.6 feet and rising slowly. - Forecast...The river will rise to 20.7 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall to 20.6 feet early Saturday morning. It will rise aFlood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 28.4 feet on 03/28/2023.bove flood stage early Sunday morning to 29.2 feet early Monday morning.
