NJ TRANSIT hearing on proposed fare increase tomorrow; CDBG funding applications available
NJ TRANSIT to host hearings on proposed fare increase March 8
NJ TRANSIT, a State agency, will host two in person public hearings on Friday, March 8, regarding proposed fare adjustments which could increase by an estimated 15% for the upcoming year.
The Hudson County hearing is scheduled to take place at Frank R. Lautenberg Station at Secaucus Junction – Long Hallway, County Road & County Avenue, Secaucus, NJ from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The last hearing will be held on Friday, March 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Board Room of NJ TRANSIT Headquarters, 1 Penn Plaza East, Newark NJ.
In addition to appearing in person, members of the public may submit comments for the record online at www.njtransit.com/hearing, via postal mail to: PUBLIC HEARING OFFICE – FARE PROPOSAL COMMENTS, ONE PENN PLAZA EAST, NEWARK, NJ 07105, or via email at [email protected].The public comment period will be open until 11:59 p.m., Friday, March 8.

CDBG application deadline extended
Hoboken based nonprofits and organizations serving low and moderate-income individuals can still apply for Community Development Block Grant funding. The application deadline has been extended until March 15 at 4 p.m.
