SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Methamphetamine Arrests

A tip led to the arrest of two individuals for methamphetamine possession on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
The Sheriff’s Office received a tip of drug use at a home on Muenscher Street in Howard City. Deputy Hoskins surveilled the home and observed a man leave the home. The man got into a vehicle with a woman and the two left the home. The car was stopped for a moving violation. A consent search of the vehicle was conducted, and methamphetamine was found. The man, a 37-year-old from Pierson, was arrested and lodged in the County Jail.
A search warrant for the home on Muenscher Street was obtained. The home was searched which led to the arrest of a 50-year-old Sand Lake man for possession of methamphetamine and the arrest of 22-year-old Howard City man on a warrant for probation violation.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Central Michigan Enforcement Team. CMET has taken over the investigation.
