Single Vehicle Crash Leaves Two Teens Deceased and One Hospitalized

SUMMARY: On March 8, 2024, at about 4:25 PM, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a traffic collision involving a single vehicle at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Haven Avenue.
A white Ford Mustang was traveling west on Wilson Avenue. The driver lost control of the vehicle as it crossed the intersection of Haven Avenue. The vehicle collided into an Edison power pole and a tree, west of the intersection.
Despite life-saving efforts by the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department, the driver and a female passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene. The male passenger was transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies Smith and Rusk from the Rancho Cucamonga Major Accident Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
