This is a message from the Fairfield Office of Emergency Management.
We are expecting heavy rainfall tonight into tomorrow morning. The current prediction is for approximately 2 inches of rain to fall in that time. If this does occur, the Passaic River at Pine Brook is anticipated to rise to 20.2 feet early Monday morning.
At that level, the following main roadways may be closed due to flooding: Bloomfield Ave., Little Falls Road/Pier Lane and Commerce Road/Stewart Place.
We will be continuing to monitor the river once the rain stops tomorrow and provide updates as needed.
