ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Faboskay was processed at Amsterdam Police headquarters. He was arraigned in the Amsterdam City Court and was released on his own recognizance to appear at a later date.
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: On February 27th Amsterdam Police took a report of a stolen catalytic converter from a vehicle parked at a residence on Locust Avenue. After further investigation, the male suspect was identified as Timothy D. Faboskay of Amsterdam. The investigating officer made attempts to locate Faboskay for further interview, but was unable to locate him. Faboskay later responded to police headquarters on March 1st and during the subsequent interview he denied any involvement in the theft, but after being confronted with surveillance footage provided by the victim Faboskay confessed to stealing the catalytic converter.
The home surveillance footage provided by the victim proved to be a crucial part of this investigation as well as the prudent interview conducted by the investigating officer.
