Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
On March 1, at approximately 10:36 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 900 block of Kirkwood Street, when they observed a male subject engaged in drug-related activity. Officers made contact with 42-year-old Lewis Ames, who was taken into custody without incident. Police recovered 3.6 grams of crack cocaine, and .091 grams of heroin.
Ames has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Two Counts
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was released after posting $2,000 secured bail.
