Wilmington Police have arrested a man and recovered a stolen motor vehicle.
On March 2, at approximately 5:08 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 3000 block of North Market Street, when they observed a stolen motor vehicle. Officers attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop, at which time the fled the area. A short time later, the vehicle was located in the 2600 block of North Madison Street, where the driver of the vehicle fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, 29-year-old Kevin Stowe was taken into custody without incident.
Stowe has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500
- Disregarding a Police Officer’s Signal
- Criminal Mischief Over $1,500
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
