Wilmington Police have arrested a man and woman and recovered a stolen motor vehicle.
On March 3, at approximately 7:34 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 1500 block of Thatcher Street, when they observed a stolen motor vehicle. Officers conducted a vehicle stop in the 800 block of East 16th Street, and took the driver – 45-year-old Hector Ferrer, and 42-year-old Lacola Mumford into custody without incident.
Ferrer has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $4,100 unsecured bail.
Mumford has been charged with the following offenses:
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $4,000 unsecured bail.
